As one of our most fun traditions, every Saturday The Pub becomes The Acoustic Tavern - the North Shore's most fun place to see and hear the best new talent in the area.
Saturday, the 4th - Manny
Saturday, the 11th - Casey Herlihy
Saturday, the 18th - The Erstwhiles
Saturday, the 25th - Just Like Newman's "Summer Kickoff Beach Party."
(If you think you're one the best new talents, contact Chris Shea or Chris Langathianos at The Landing for a possible gig.)

June Bugs... Celebrate Anyway
April showered which was good for her and her neighbors. May flowered... enough so that she's a possible DWTS contestant for next season. Then June bugs everyone, demanding as many days as May and July.
June's got Father's Day, the Summer Solstice and - for the first time in history - The Big Bad Bruins still playing hockey. Plus, it's National Fruit and Vegetable month. And, there are birthdays for Donald Duck on the 9th, Mary Kate and Ashley on the 13th and Superman on the 30th. Still, June bugs.
Fuhgeddaboudit... We're celebrating anyway.

June Dinner Specials
Since summer has more 'personal celebration' and 'no cook' days than any other season, we will continue to offer $2 (chicken, beef or seafood) Taco Tuesdays, our All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fries on Friday for $14, plus our Saturday Night Prime Rib Special for $16. According to the very knowledgeable, all are a very tasty alternative to going hungry.

It's Hockey in June - Celebrate Every Game
Since watching the Bruins win can sometimes be a stressful time when 'comfort' food is almost a necessity, we'll serve free hors d'oeuvres in The Pub after the first period of every game throughout the Stanley Cup series. All games start at 8:05 but the good seats go early.

Acoustic Tavern Continues

Saturday, the 4th - Manny
Saturday, the 11th - Casey Herlihy

Idols Series Final - Friday, the 10th
Once again, the best (whatevers) have... survived as have we, the watchers and listeners. Any which way, this is fun. And sometimes, the talent is waay better than expected. Who would have thunk it. Join us.

Steak Out The Belmont Stakes - Saturday, the 11th
Race time is around 5 p.m. but will gather in The Pub early to play in The Landing's sometimes-very-rewarding Squares Game. See His Lordship for details and entry.
And of course, you can't lose if you celebrate post race with our Saturday Night Prime Rib Special at $16. Then stay for our Acoustic Tavern featuring Casey Herlihy.

The Erstwhiles Return - Saturday, the 18th
As part of our three day Father's Day celebration and their own personal pledge to play more venues smaller than Yankee Stadium, The Erstwhiles - featuring The Honorable Arthur McGoen, His Lordship and one or more of The Others - will appear in The Pub about 9 p.m. as part of The Landing's popular Acoustic Tavern series.

|
Father's Day - Sunday, the 19th
We will open on Dad's Day for brunch/lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m with dinner from 2 to 9 p.m. Special menu offerings include Lobster Eggs Benedict, Lobster Frittata and a seafood quiche. Dinner will be from 1 to 9 p.m.
And like last year, from 2 to 4 p.m. Big Butchie of The Crow's Nest and Ink-Me-Up will offer a special Father's Day discount to all those who want a 'Dad's My Best Bud' tattoo in four colors. For those who like father dearest - but not that much - economy one color tats will also be available.

Three Day Summer Solstice Special: 21st - 23rd
Multi-taskers that we be, we're celebrating the longest day, the shortest night and the first day of summer with a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Three Day Summer Solstice Lobster Special. We're offering a cup of Chowder, Lobster, Steamers, Corn on the Cob and a slice of Watermelon - all for $19 from 5 p.m. until the kitchen closes or the lobsters run out... onto Central Street, begging passers-by for a little mercy and a ride out of town. And our lobsters are all one-and-a-quarter pound monsters - no under-sized, little lobsterettes in the group. |

Other June Rememberables
Janice & Will will host Open Mic Night on Sundays, the 12th and 26th - young performers from 6 to 7 p.m. Young-at-heart thereafter. Celtic Summer Sessions will be on Sundays, the 5th and 19th in The Lee Room, 6 to 9 p.m. The Gathering of The Cribbagers on the 1st and 3rd Mondays, the 6th and 20th. And as always, Wednesday is Trivia Night and Thursday is Golf and Bike Night.
Thursday Night Golf and Bike Night Special Note His Lordship is the host every Thursday Night. There is a multi-prize raffle and more prizes in his trivia contest. And the prizes are much more valuable than just best wishes on St. Swithen's Day - Greens Fees for The Meadow in Peabody, Cape Ann Golf Course in Essex and Blackstone National in Sutton; on-the-water outings with Essex River Cruises, ERBA and Isle of Shoals and as always, there are the usual (double-waay-better-than-the-typical) prizes from Captain Dusty's, ClubXcel, Ipswich Ale, Seaside Cycle and Allen's Pharmacy. Simple said: Thursday Night is great fun. And until someone (of higher authority) stops him, His Lordship will continue to give away super prizes. Advise: Attend. Win. Rejoice and/or just have a lot of fun. |

Final Thought (and ponderable)
June bugs. But, then again, truth be told: May flies.
Take care. Be well. And stop by.
